When I smoke marijuana, it is often because my disease is effecting me heavily. I have a hard time walking or moving in general, and a lot of times I just want to lay down. Short of falling asleep, watching some TV or playing a video game is about the only activities I can keep down. Because of this, I noticed that my television viewing habits seem to change when I am under the influence of marijuana.

Depending on my mood while high, my interests are piqued by some truly different TV shows. I decided to compile a list to share my favorites with you. If you have a particular show you like to watch while high, throw it into the comments section below.

With that, here is my list of great TV shows to watch while high.

  • Criminal Minds: This show is dark, clever, and really something else. I like this while I am straight, but while high this show takes on a new dimension for me. The dark plots always seem to get me guessing as to who the “unsub” is, and I am always shocked to see who really is committing the crimes. Check this one out, it is a classic.
  • 2 Broke Girls: This is a sitcom about two girls who live together in New York City and are working to open a cupcake shop. The raunchy, clever humor is great, and I have a tendency to laugh hysterically when I smoke and view this show. Great stuff.
  • Honey Boo Boo: I don’t know why this is on the list, as I cannot stand this show when I am not under the influence of pot. When I am high however, this stuff is great. Watching this family of misfits getting through their lives is hilarious, and the various antics they go through makes me want to visit the deep south. Oddly entertaining.
  • The Simpsons: A classic show, where smoking makes the newer seasons that much better. This show was inherently smart, and the newer seasons have moved away from this. When I smoke and watch this classic now, it is much better than when I see it straight. While not as good as before, it is still watchable when affected.
