We all love smoking pot. That is why we are here, and that is why I write this blog. Pot is good, pot is healthy, and pot can be a hell of a lot of fun. However, with all of that fun, there are some things you just should not do while high.

I decided to compile this list in order to help spread the word about what I feel are foolish things to do while under the influence of marijuana. Some are funny, some are not. Nonetheless, the point of the posts is to make sure that people are aware that these things happen, and sometimes there are unintended consequences for actions in which we don’t use our melons.

With that being said, here is a list of things you shouldn’t do while high:

  • Drive a car: By far one of the stupidest things you can do while under the influence of a foreign substance. Driving a car while inebriated puts you in control of a multiple thousand pound missile. It is also illegal to do so, and you don’t want to have that mark on your record.
  • Mow the lawn: For the love of God, PLEASE do not mow the lawn while high. I actually tried this not too long ago, and almost tipped my mower over on myself three times before I said, “Screw it” and waited until I was a little more with it. The last thing you want to do is lop off a foot while mowing the lawn. It just isn’t worth it.
  • Try to do any type of meaningful work: Unless your job is to watch TV or do something insanely easy, I would recommend not doing any type of real work while you are high. I tried writing something while stoned, and when I went back and reviewed my work I was embarrassed to see what I found. It seriously looked like a second grader typed what I tried to convey. Not my finest hour.
  • Shave: I am not the best groomer in the world, but I try to keep up on my appearance. I am no Brad Pitt, but no Al Bundy either. However, I tried to do some grooming the other day while high, and had a horrible time of it. In addition to looking like Captain Sparsebeard, I ended up having a mishap while “Manscaping”. Trust me, don’t do this while high.
