I am a breast cancer survivor.  I am incredibly thankful to all of the doctors, surgeons, nurses and family and friends that got me through this ordeal.

It wasn’t easy.

I am also grateful to have found medical marijuana while I was experiencing chemotherapy.  Chemo is unlike anything else.  If you’ve never had cancer or witnessed someone close to you go through it, you can’t understand.  It is the sickest you have ever been all combined and times a thousand. It feels like death.  I was weaker than you can imagine and vomiting all the time. I lost an excessive amount of weight because I had no appetite and when I did eat, I threw it up immediately.  Even drinking water made me sick.

Then I read about marijuana as a treatment for the side effects of chemo.  I tried it and never looked back.  Nausea was no longer an issue.  My appetite came back and I was able to keep food down.  I felt happier and healthier and made it through 4 rounds of chemo thanks to marijuana.  I attribute my survival in part to this treatment because I’m not sure I would have had the strength to go through all 4 rounds without it.
